Rigging from Scratch

I've had a 2000 Morrison 10 dropped into my lap. It's fully stripped but I have all of the deck gear and a rig. Does anyone have any detailed photos of the rigging systems of boats of this vintage? Trying to simplify everything.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, discussion got going over on SA. Some good points, and need to bring it over here, or at least have and link rather than trying to move entire discussion.

Hopefully that will help reference it at least.

It's actually a Tim willets design from 97. U have a cst 12 rig. I'm planning on rigging very simple like a 49er. Does anyone have any photos of simple setups or 49ers? I don't know a lot about making systems so I need all the help I can get.

Thanks

Hi
Check out Rebuilding of US1112. The hulls look similar. The important thing is to be sure the controls work fluidly and are easy to use. I think you should bring the control systems up to date rather than rebuild a design that has been out dated. We found that a Dremal saw used for trimming the molding when tile is installed on an existing floor is invaluable for removing the fittings butt blocks. We used Starbrite covered with one layer of carbon worked well. It might be a little heavy but our bare hull was very light after we took off all the fillings.

I'm thinking of a 24 to 1 vang. should I use wire or go with a high tech line? Does anyone have a table of line lengths and types? I was thinking 7/64ths for the kite jalyard and a 5/16 tail to cleat. 3/32 amsteel for the dunno and vang and dinghy control for everything else That's cleated. I was thinking 1/4 inch on the main and jib sheets and 5/16 for kite sheets.
