Worlds after Carnac

Post by Colin Smith » Fri Nov 14, 2014 8:13 pm

Just to let you know, the US fleet have submitted a proposal for the Worlds after the 2016 Carnac event, to be held on San Francisco Bay in August 2018, with the event being run out of Richmond YC. The World Council will vote on the proposal (and any other which may be received, although I'm not aware of any so far) at a meeting to be held during the forthcoming Worlds in Geelong (only 6-7 weeks away now! :D )

The US proposal is available at http://international14.org/images/world ... oposal.pdf so have a look and let your country offficers know what you think. Looks good to me!

Regards
Colin

Awesome venue. Did US Nationals there in 2008. Rig, launch, and negotiate the harbor in modest/lightish winds, then reach into the big breeze of Berkely Circle. Had enough? Reach back into the modest breeze in the lee of Angel Island. Amazing.

Sorry I won't be in Geelong to help sell this proposal, but if you were here in 1997, you shouldn't be disappointed in what we come up with for 2018. :)

We had 81 boats in 1997, can we get to a 100 this time?
