Re: The new B6
One of the best things of this regatta was seeing boat #10 make it's first splash
and after a few teething works at the start , wins the last race in fashion
nice work Cameron and Evan.

Well done Kris and Martin From Sweden!
I'm sorry I wasn't there due to illness. And too bad about all the boats stuck on the ships due to the labor issues. Next year!
Can someone fill us in on the conditions, the strengths of the various boats, Cameron's new rocket ship, etc.?
Looking forward to Super Cup and Santa Barbara Nationals!

These lines are the jib up and down (cunningham(tack), and the halyard). this would get set just before each race to set twist.Northshore Pirate wrote:Hendo:

Re: The new B6
Bundy, conditions were 6-16kts + flat water for the whole weekend.
I was crewing for Cam on the Hull 10. We had some issues with the water across the deck popping the jib halyard out of the cleat Day 1 and Day 2. Broken tiller extension on the distance race ruined a massive lead.
We were super quick upwind, and when we picked the shifts right we were untouchable. We struggled downwind being one of the heavier teams. Brad and Garrett were very fast downwind as usual. Hendo had good point upwind in the light.
Downwind runs were difficult tactically. A gybe set was usually favored with the right shift, but the 3rd place boat usually did a bear away set and made big gains on the left. Can't cover that.

Re: The new B6
Thanks, Evan. That's cool the speed was there so quickly -- that's some good rigging.
Common Hendo, tee that essay up again!

Re: The new B6
Good close racing except for the 5th place boat. We were way off the pace. We seemed to have good speed on the practice day. Not sure what happened. Maybe BWR and Hendo were sandbagging during practice?

Is that paint on Henderson's boat or Photoshop? Must be the key to winning!
