Re: The new B6

That is a lot of strings, Evan and Terry! I have taken the opposite approach. Cunno and vang adjustable by skipper or crew from mid rack. Rig tension on forward rack strut adjustable by crew only. We have an adjustable foreatay but it is at the base of the mast and not practicaly adjustable while sa...

Straight across from rack to rack. Less friction.

Re: The new B6

I just go straight across the.back, rack tube to rack tube. The vang and cunno lines lay nicely next to the "tight line" we have tensioned between the two rack tubes. Less friction than the alternative.

Re: The new B6

Doug: First off 8150 in light air before you are double trapping is an incredible mode. We have found it is a. Very narrow range, however, and that you soon want to be back a bit further. Our conclusion is raked back at 8100 and light on tension (25-28) is nearly as good but more versatile since you...

Re: The new B6

Glad to hear you are finding out so quickly about the fantastic characteristics of the new hull and rig design. I bet you regret winter is coming so soon. Wait til you get the uppers in the right spot. Oh that's right, you don't have to worth about that. We have found 8100 is a very good base rake s...

Re: The new B6

I recall this start on Sunday. We (1191) let you (1192) live on our aft hip for about 4 minutes of intense sailing. You thanked us by finding some new 5th gear and suddenly in 30 seconds killing us! Fortunately we tacked right and crossed the fleet to a favored shift. Can you teach us how to find th...

Round and rubber too!

I am intrigued by option 3, Brad. European Championships, German Champs, POW, what else? If I can't do the Worlds this year it seems like a great alternative. Not much more than c9ming to California. You are welcome to use the boat when I can't get tot the event.

H2B6 USA 1191 Available for Sail, Sale, Charter or??

Regrettably, it is unlikely that I will be able to sail the Worlds in Geelong. At this point, however, I am planning to ship my boat to Geelong whether or not I can sail it myself. I am soliciting interest from a competitive team to sail the boat or? Possible Acceptable Scenarios : 1. Sell the Boat ...

Re: Mast Track

Jake:

Glad to hear you are back doing some sailing in the 14. Paul Bieker has some track here in Seattle. Let me know if you want me to bring some down to Richmond in a couple of weeks. If you need it sooner, I can look into shipping. Feel free to give me a call.

Kris: I am surprised by that speed number. I thought you were almost as fast as we were! Just kidding. We all had some great rides. It was a fantastic three days at the Gorge. Three great boats (Goodson/Diercks, Bundy/Hanseler, Bersch/Vincze), lots of good boathandling and several good sessions (wit...

Re: Rectangular boom

Steve: Like Rand's your comments are very interesting. Unlike the one boat you mention, I see others have begun to put foam padding in the bottoms of their boats. I assume this is to make it safer when they fall down due to misuse of the equipment? Do you likewise think they might start to pad their...
