Re: Boat in country without national class association

Hi Sandro - It's great news to hear that there's I14 activity again in Switzerland! Where do you sail? You should definitely sail as a SUI boat at the worlds. Simona & I sail ITA-1488, and we also do not have an active national (ITA) class association. This hasn't ever been a problem, and it seems q...

Pass strop around mast & under itself (so it holds the...

Re: Free entry to Team Racing at Weymouth

Hi Ed, Perhaps we're not sufficiently young, but at least we're international (ITA/GBR). We'll be sailing under an ITA number at Weymouth (upon approval by the World Secretary), and it's rather unlikely that we'll be able to muster another 3 ITA team boats, so we'd be happy to join an international ...

Time limit for races at Warnemunde worlds

The worlds at Warnemunde will be our first, and I have a beginner's question after reading the sailing instructions: What is the rationale behind setting a finishing time limit on days when only one race is being run? We're not the best sailors in the fleet, nor sailing the fastest boat, but it woul...
