Re: Looking for advise to ship my boat on a budget.
We use 'you ship' but were not in a hurry. We bought our I14 in Minnesota in October, but, we didn't really need it until spring. First quote was $3,000. As the months went buy the bids got lower. We finally settled on $350 in March to Oyster Bay, NY. Are you moving to NY, Long Island perhaps? Ed Ch...

Hi:
We are going to add a twist grip to US 1112 this winter. I was wondering what you did to make yours "flawlessly executed twist tiller adjustment".

I woke up at 3am and remembered seeing stacks of Thistle hulls on a truck going to somewhere where there was an oven. (US Plywood, maybe in Michagian) This was a long time ago. I think, later Douglass & McLeod used Resorcinol glue which eliminated the baking.

Re: Boat in a box - the Shu3
My father built about 1500 Thistles cold molded. He shot the staples through an inner tube then pulled the inner tube off with the staples.

Re: Boat in a box - the Shu3
You have carried the chine high and all the way forward v Shu2. Waterlines forward seem more blunt than on Shu2, looks like there is a little higher PC forward of the beam too?

I don't see any limber holes. Are you putting them in later? ( I assume the notches are for the stringers)

Re: East Coast Regattas
Hi:
Just an up date. Oakcliff is planning on skiff clinics next summer in Oyster Bay with Olympic level coaches. They are in the planning stages right now. I will keep you posted. If I had some interest I would approach them to see if they would add 14s to the FX & 49er days.
