HISC membership

Not sure many people use this forum, but just in case... I have it on good authority that HISC are running a promotion where new members won't have to pay the considerable entry fee for membership and you would have to be recommended by an existing member. So if you were considering the delights of ...

I'm slightly biased to HISC, but both clubs have 14 regularly sailing weather in their own clubs racing or a combined effort. Its worth a visit to see what you think.

I'll be patriotic and go for the Partington father and son dynamic duo. They have just won POW week and are very consistent. Mind you, if Travemunde Woche 1991 is anything to go by, Tom is going to have to keep Andy off the schnapps. What a mess! Have a great championship - sadly my 14 days are behi...

Come on you Spurs!

Huge congratulations to Spurs and Son for their POW Week win. Yet another bunch of trophies for Karen to clean!

Also, what a good show Nellie and Ian put up, especially considering they hardly ever sail!

missing you all!

Top six of the POW race. I'd recommend nobbling the likely contenders the night before to improve chances.

Attention Simon Nelson!

Hi Simon I hope all is well down under. I thought I'd do the honourable thing and let you know about your 14 being threatened with removal at HISC! See - http://www.hisc.co.uk/nor/boat_removal_notice.pdf That's your's, bottom right! I'm sure a local could find a use for it! Thought you ought to know...

How did it go George? I saw some kids thrashing boats with worried looking owners in RIBs on saturday. Is there a lucky winner?

Hayling Sin Bin

Greetings I noticed 3 14s on the beach on the causeway at HISC, where they have moved (and tied down) boats not paying their boatpark fees. One was Jarrod's (I could tell from the home-made spreaders!), one was 1485 belonging to Jonesy's workmates and an M10, maybe Charlie Tav's old one 1466. Anyone...

[Probably not as we are wussy lake sailors and havent had much time in the boat to be honest. Not sure how it would work out as it isnt going to be a competitive boat (and thats before you include our sub standard sailing abilities into the equation!)] Go to POW - its 6 days of intensive training - ...

Furthermore, I think fellow 14er Dave Chisholm has to be congratulated in making the GT60 a reality. A few weeks ago it was merely a pretty picture. Bags under your eyes, Dave?! Girlfriend frustrated with a lack of action?!?! no need to answer that....
