Re: Questions on buying a Morrison 10

Hi DCH,

Thanks for your message.

Where are you based and what boat are you considering?

Do you have pictures of the mast and breakages.

m10s whilst a bit older are great learning platforms and still pretty nifty.

Any queries, let me know.

Rectangular boom

Hello,

What are the main benefits of Rectangular booms? Is it reduced bend along the length?

Are there any downsides opposed to a traditional round unit?

M12 Rig Settings

Hello All,

Trying to get a comparison of rake and rig settings so we can formalise ours.

Does anyone have a record of the mast rake they run with across the board?

Also what tensions are people running? We have a CST 14.

Cheers,
Alex

Re: Boat in a box - the Shu3

Looks Great,

In answer to your question. Assuming S3 is the green rendering? Looks like a shorter bow with a fuller hull section at the front.

Possibly wider and flatter at the back?

Garda Open 2014

Hello All,

We are planning to go to Garda this year.

Would be good to get transport sorted soon. We are willing to tow boats over and split the costs four ways.

Who is planning on going and who would be wanting to sort something?

Best,
Alex

Re: Newbies to 14's

Good Morning and Welcome! Glad to say you've made the right step by getting a 14. My first boat was an Ovi 2 and cemented my love of the class. If you'd like more detailed instructions on how to get the boat sort of set up please feel free to PM me. If you fancy a trip to the South east, we sail at ...

Re: Pointing

Hello and welcome back! Which boat have you purchased? Glad to hear you are coming to POW, should be a good event! I would disagree that pointing is fairly important and a balance of the two is fairly key. What sails / mast do you have? Are you sailing with enough kicker on and how is your jib set? ...
