VIC Grand Prix Series

Hi All, just a reminder that heat 5 is on this weekend at BRYC. Hope to see a big turn up! Also please note that grand prix points for this heat will be based on the joint results of the 2 club races. Current grand prix results are available on the Oz web site under Victoria.

Hi Simon, I strongly recommend bringing your 14 out to Oz. Heaps of sun, warn water, excellent sailing breezes and a 14 class with over 100 years of history! We are working on developing the fleet in Sydney and with the worlds in 2010 I am sure there will be much interest from other skiff sailors. M...

I agree with you Olli, the Gybing centre board system has the potential to be very painfull for existing fleets. The sooner we ban them the better. lets not be fooled as per the tee foil issue. The class currently needs stability.

Hi Andy and Olli, we have just completed our state AGM and amoungst lots of things the 2008 worlds were discussed. There is strong interest from Australia to attend the 3 regatta tour. If the regatta dates could be lined up and locked in we would be able to start planning for this event. I believe t...

Hi Andy, would you have the contact email for the boat transport company (I believe the UK use for Garda each year). Also would you be able to give an indication of the kind of money they charge for I14 transport around Europe. This might be a good option for boat transport from kiel to Garda and re...

I believe that the possibility to schedule Garda to start on say 28th June would be excellent (to schedule Garda before Kiel week would require a too long break). This would allow some 3 days to commute between Kiel and Garda. It would also fill in an extensive gap between the Kiel and Warmemunde ev...

Hi Andy, not quite sure how the best logistics will pan out. Dates of possible regatta's may help determine this (Linking regatta dates as close together will definetly help). Kieler woche, Garda See and then Warmemunda worlds sounds great. (Just got to organise freight and leave passes!)

Hi Olli, I believe that there will be good interest from Australian boats looking to competeing in regatta's prior to the Warmamunde worlds. the kieler Woche regatta sounds great. I also wonder if the 2008 Garda regatta dates could be shifted. I am sure this would attract much interest. Maybe someon...
