Can't help you on US 112 but I have a clinker-built I-14 , vintage 1948, acquired from the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club in 1955. L. Francis Herreshoff is supposed to have said (about the I-14s) that they are "Dangerous Freaks that can only be sailed by a couple of trained athletes". Anyone know the context of this quote and whether it's authentic?
